Mobile roadside assistance in Deerfield Beach and Broward County — Apex Towing

Not every breakdown needs a truck with a bed on it. A dead battery, keys shut in the car, a flat with a good spare or an empty tank are all jobs that finish at the roadside, and you drive away instead of following your own car to a shop. We come to the vehicle, wherever it is sitting — street, driveway, plaza lot or parking deck — anywhere in Broward County and Boca Raton, 24 hours a day.

What we come out for

Four Jobs That Do Not Need A Tow

Jump starts

Connected properly to the right terminals rather than off a stranger's cables in a parking lot. If the jump will not hold, the battery or the alternator is finished rather than flat, and we will tell you that at the roadside instead of leaving you to find out a mile later.

Lockouts

Keys shut in the car, engine running or not. Expect to show something that ties you to the vehicle before a door gets opened, which is the same standard any legitimate operator works to.

Flat tire changes

Your spare fitted where the car is sitting, torqued down properly and the pressure checked before you pull away. No spare, or a space-saver already on the other corner, changes the answer, so say so on the phone.

Fuel delivery

Enough to reach the nearest pump under your own power, not a full tank at roadside prices. Confirm gasoline or diesel when you call, because the two are not interchangeable and getting it wrong is an expensive afternoon.

The Work And The Part Are Two Numbers

Where a job involves a part rather than only labor, the part is quoted separately and you hear both figures on the same call. A tire, a battery, the fuel itself. Nothing is worked out in your driveway with the truck already there.

If the job turns out to be bigger than it sounded on the phone, it gets re-quoted before any work starts. And if what you actually need is a tow rather than a roadside fix, we will say so on the phone instead of sending a truck that cannot finish the job.

Before We Get There

If anyone is injured, or the vehicle is blocking a live lane, call 911 first — then call us. Hazards on, and get well clear of moving traffic if you can do that safely. A roadside job on the shoulder of I-95 is a different proposition from one in a driveway, so lead with where you are.

Three things get a truck moving fastest: exactly where the vehicle is including the exit or direction of travel, what you are driving, and what it is actually doing. This line is answered by phone and is not monitored for text messages.

Questions

Roadside Questions, Answered

I do not have a spare. What happens then?

Then the choice is a replacement tire or a tow, and both get discussed on the phone before anyone drives out. Tell us the size off the sidewall when you call. A donut already fitted on another corner is worth mentioning too, because two space-savers on one car is not a safe drive home.

Will a jump start actually fix it?

Sometimes. A battery that has been run down by lights left on will usually take a charge and hold it. A battery at the end of its life, or a failed alternator, will not. If the jump does not hold we will tell you which of those it looks like rather than sending you off to break down again.

Can you get into any vehicle?

Most, but not all, and we would rather say so on the phone than at the roadside. Some newer vehicles with deadlocking or fully electronic latches are a locksmith or dealer job. If the key is locked in the trunk rather than the cabin, that changes the answer too.

I put the wrong fuel in the tank. Can you drain it?

No. A contaminated tank needs draining and flushing properly before the engine is run, and that is workshop work rather than a roadside job. The most useful thing you can do is not start the engine. We can tow it somewhere that can deal with it.

Stuck But Still Driveable?

Describe what the vehicle is doing and where it is sitting. If it is a roadside fix we will say so, and if it needs a tow we will say that instead.
