No Title? We Can Help

Top dollar paid, and the pickup is free — it does not come back out of your quote. Give us the year, make, model and whether it rolls, and you get a figure on the phone that still holds when we collect it.

Top Dollar Paid Free Pickup Running Or Not

We buy junk cars, trucks, SUVs and vans across Broward County and Miami-Dade with free pickup — Apex Towing

Apex Towing buys junk and scrap vehicles across Broward County and Miami-Dade, and collects them free. The number you are given on the phone is the number you are paid , provided the vehicle turns out to be what was described. We already run the trucks, so the pickup is part of the deal rather than a fee taken back out of your quote at the curb.

What we buy

What We Take And What Changes The Price

Cars, trucks, SUVs and vans

Sedans, pickups, SUVs, minivans and cargo vans. If it has four wheels and a VIN, describe it on the phone and we will tell you whether it is something we buy.

Running or not

Most of what we collect has not moved in a while. Dead engine, blown transmission, seized, stripped, or simply not worth the next repair bill. It does not need to start and it does not need to drive onto the truck.

Wrecked, flooded and storm damaged

Collision write-offs, flood cars and vehicles an insurer has already settled on. South Florida produces a lot of these. Tell us what happened to it, because it changes the number.

More than one at a time

Shop lots with cars nobody collected, property managers clearing abandoned vehicles, fleets retiring units. Multiple vehicles are quoted together and collected in one visit where we can.

Free Pickup, Not Pickup Deducted

The complaint people have about junk car buyers is almost never the first number. It is the second one. A vehicle gets quoted at a figure on the phone and then a towing charge appears at the curb and comes out of it. Our pickup is free and it is not deducted.

The only thing that changes a quote is the vehicle itself. If the car described as complete turns out to be missing its engine, its transmission or its catalytic converter, the number changes, and it changes in front of you before anything is loaded rather than afterwards.

Title, Or No Title

Having the title is simplest. Sign it over, show photo identification, keep the plate and the deal is done at the curb.

Without one there is a legal route, and it has limits worth knowing before you ring around. Florida section 319.30 allows a vehicle to move on a Derelict Motor Vehicle Certificate , form HSMV 82137, where the title is not available. The vehicle must be at least ten model years old and worth less than one thousand dollars , you sign a certification that there are no undisclosed liens, and a thumbprint is required if you are not the owner of record. The title record is then canceled permanently and the vehicle can never be titled again.

If the vehicle is newer than that, or worth more than that, the honest answer is a duplicate title on form HSMV 82101 rather than a workaround. Anybody telling you they will take any car with no title and no questions is describing something the statute does not allow.

Questions

Selling A Junk Car, Answered

Do I need the title?

Often, but not always. Florida law allows a vehicle to be sold without a title through the Derelict Motor Vehicle Certificate process under section 319.30, using form HSMV 82137. The limits are written into the form: the vehicle has to be at least ten model years old and worth less than one thousand dollars. You will need photo identification, and a thumbprint if you are not the owner of record. Newer or higher value vehicles need the title, or a duplicate obtained with form HSMV 82101.

How do you work out what it is worth?

Year, make and model first, then condition, how complete it is, and whether the major parts are still in it. A car with the engine, transmission and catalytic converter still fitted is worth more than the same car without them. Scrap metal prices move, so a quote given today is a quote for today.

Does the vehicle have to run or be driveable?

No. Most of them do not. It also does not need to be in a driveway or accessible to a flatbed from the street, although that is worth mentioning on the phone. A vehicle behind a gate, under a carport or buried at the back of a lot is still collectable, it just changes how we come to get it.

What should I have ready when you collect?

Photo identification, and the title if you have it. Take the license plate off and keep it, because in Florida the plate stays with you rather than the vehicle. Empty the glovebox and the trunk, because anything left in it goes with it. Once it is gone, cancel the registration and the insurance.

Get A Number On It

Year, make, model, and roughly what is wrong with it. That is enough for a figure. If you have several to clear, say so on the same call and they get quoted together. Collection runs the length of Broward and down through Miami-Dade: Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Miami Gardens, Hialeah and Miami.
